growing up so far...

Time has already flown by and Norah is now 7 months old! She has changed so much since she was born and it's an incredible thing to watch. We are constantly amazed at the new things she is learning and the joy that she constantly brings to our home with her smile and giggles. She almost constantly has a smile on her face and gets so excited when she learns a new trick. Since I haven't been keeping up on the blog, I wanted to post her monthly pictures so far and try to keep up from now on :). We'll see if I can accomplish that :)

  

Newborn Pictures

When my brother Jeremy was in town visiting the little one, he was able to take some newborn pictures for us of her and our new family of 3. Jeremy is in art school for photography in Pasadena and our favorite family photographer.  He's the best :). We loved how they turned out and couldn't ask for better memories we will cherish forever!

 

 

The night we became three...Norah Hope is born

The morning of August 20th was kind of a whirlwind.  This was the day that we were scheduled to go in to be induced and get this baby going at a little over 41 weeks.  Come to find out our doctor's office never scheduled it at the hospital...so with this over-swollen, cranky momma to be, Jon made some calls and we were told to go in right away to start the induction.  We arrived at the hospital around 11am and they broke my water around noon.  After some time in labor...our little girl arrived!

 We were so blessed to have some of our family in town and they waited in the waiting room for some time. :) They finally got to come in and meet her around 2:30 or 3am (the times are all fuzzy to me :) )

So thankful to have my sister Evie here, and first time Aunt Evie.
Brandon had to leave that morning and missed her by a few hours. :(

 We are so grateful for this little miracle that God has blessed us with.  A healthy baby girl, and a safe delivery for mom and her. We look forward to raising her & watching her grow.

Baby Fox's Nursery...The Finished Product

After all the assembling and late night sew sessions it finally got done and came together. Here's the final product for you to see. I'm really happy with the final product and hope she likes it too.  Although I realize the nursery is more for mom & dad to enjoy and the baby could care less, it was a fun project for me and a happy place to be with baby.

Baby Fox's Nursery - The Making Of...

Creating a baby nursery is a lot of work. There's so much to assemble and put together and choosing how to decorate it was a big decision. I decided to make (sew) all the bedding and textiles and Jon stuck to the furniture assembly. It was a team effort and we were glad to do it for our little girl but relieved to have it completed. :) 

Showered in Utah

We are so blessed to live and work in Utah and be a part of the CenterPoint church family. My sister-in-law, Jackie and good friend Sarah threw our little girl a baby shower for some friends from church here in Utah. It was an incredible blessing and a great night getting to spend time with the ones I love in Utah. Thanks so much for making such a special night and for being a "family" to us!

 We had some amazing desserts and coffee to enjoy!

 All the decorations were adorable and hand-made by Sarah & Jackie.  Just loved and enjoyed every detail!
